Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do I purchase my own diapers?
A: Not unless you want to! We'll provide all the diapers you need at your weekly drop-off. Already have your own? We're testing out a "Wash My Stash" option. Stay tuned for details!
Have diapers that you're not using? We'll trade you! We'll give you a credit on your monthly subscription in exchange for diapers in good condition.
Q: What do I do with the #2?
A: Not much, honestly. If your baby is pre-solids, put the diapers directly into the wet bag. Once they've started solids, dump any solid waste into the toilet and then put the diaper in the wet bag.
If you'd like to minimize smell in your wet bag, you have a few options: you can purchase a sprayer to attach to your toilet and get all of the stinky stuff off before putting the diaper in the wet bag. We also have diaper liners that you place in each diaper - some are disposable and can go straight in the toilet, some are reusable!
Q: What about diaper rash?
A: Luckily, babies who are cloth diapered tend to suffer fewer and less severe diaper rash than those who use disposable diapers. That being said, traditional diaper creams will lessen the effectiveness of cloth diapers over time.
In the event that your baby does have an outbreak, please do not use diaper rash creams that contain cod liver oil or petrolatum as these can cause residue buildup over time, staining the diapers and reducing their absorption.
Safe to Use: Coconut oil, Babyganics Non-Petroleum Soothing Protective Ointment, Boudreaux's All Natural Butt Paste, California Baby Diaper Rash Cream, Earth Mama Angel Baby Bottom Balm, Honest Company Rapid Relief Diaper Rash Cream, Thirsties Booty Love, Weleda Calendula Diaper Rash Cream, Burt's Bees Baby 100% Natural Multipurpose Ointment
Q: I'm new to cloth diapering. How do I know which service to choose?
A: We can help with that! Many families will find that a certain type of cloth diaper works best for their little one, and that may change as they grow. You'll never be penalized for changing your service level as your needs change alongside your baby. We're always happy to hop on a call and troubleshoot any issues you're having.
